Who are Fosgobbit?

Fosgobbit was formed in August 2008 by Gary Fosgobbit and Joe Foster.

Gary was wrapping up a semi-successful 27 city tour with his group "D-train to A-town", and had decided to leave the group because they "wanted him gone 15 cities ago".

Shortly after his departure from "D-Train" Gary held a press announcement at a Taco Bell Restaurant to discuss his next moves. While waiting outside the restaurants Mens room Gary heard a mans voice singing. That man behind the restroom door was humming what Gary has cited as, "the most beautiful original melody I have ever heard hummed in a Taco Bell Restaurant restroom." The man behind the door and that gorgeous melody was Joe Foster, founding member of the band "Sexy Old Men On Waterslides".

The men sat down in the lobby and discussed music. Joe was on a temporary hiatus from SOMOW and desperately looking for a musical outlet as was Gary, and thus Fosgobbit was born.

Shortly after this chance meeting in a Taco Bell Restaurant Bathroom, Gary rang up old yacht racing friend Jerry Heffenbeimer, and convinced him to join the group as their bass player.

The group released their first album "The Candy With No Taste" on 19 December, 2010 to chaotic reviews. Some people didn't understand or like it, and some just flat out refused to listen to it.

In July of 2011 Fosgobbit, not under court order as some have speculated, decided to add a fourth member(female) to the group. In the mid naughts Joe Foster had discovered AnnMarie Powers singing to pigeons in a Chicago park. After a brief knife fight that Independent Chicago Newspaper writer David J Christom described as "Kevin Bacon Epic", AnnMarie joined the band as Co-lead singer/lead guitar player.

The group headed straight into the studio to take advantage of that highly creative period wherein as you know someone but have not smelled one of their farts.

The results of these contentious sessions would be the 2012 EP "Deliciousity". The band was at such creative odds on this album that only 5 of the 27 songs recorded were included on the initial pressing and released. Other tracks from this period have been released on their own but the majority were shelved and are set to be released after Gary dies. "Deliciousity", even though short was received much better than "TCWNT". A source close to the band has admitted, "'Gobbit's music is like black licorice, it's there, it exists, no one wants it, but they keep making more.
